We are decorating my son's bedroom which was covered in woodchip. We removed it as the poster earlier said, scored it with a knife, soak and scrape. It took a long time but came off. Now we're onto the decorating stage. We used a white Dulux emulsion, gave it one coat. Then went over it with a filler to fill in all the small dents left behind (not easy on the ceiling!!!) and another coat of Dulux. It's looking ok now and waiting for its coat of colour (well my son's chosen a white colour!).
