Broadband wireless routers - leave them on or switch them off?

    Wireless signals. In other words, radio waves.

    How long term do you mean when you talk "long term health effects" because radio and TV have been pumping these signals out for quite a while now.

    That Marconi bloke has a lot to answer for!

    Yes, there seems to be about a 50/50 split between those who switch off and those who don't, and I can't believe ISPs are sitting there thinking half of their customers have fault conditions.

    it's not the ISPs who think there may be a fault condition, it's BT's dynamic line management system which may think that. I.E. it's independant of human input, it's the firmware that runs the exchange kit that does it.

    Hence in my earlier post in this thread I did state that any IPStream connection is at risk from this.....

    I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D

    OK, but the same position is true that if half users turn their routers off it surely can't think they are all fault conditions.

    ok, so if BT's dlm has got better, good - it needed to. Having been on LLU for several years I've thankfully been well out of it. However, my original point stands....if you keep switching a router on early morning, you'll never get your full potential sync speed with the exchange.
