    Hi,

Thanks for your response and offer of a home for the bird, may be in touch in a week or so if the owner doesn't come forward as I dont want to keep it, wouldn't be able to let it out to fly as flapping wings freak me out!

I have put found notices up in local shops and posted on a few forums, will try and get ad in local paper. Dont know how far they can fly so not sure how far away it might have come from.

mine keeps snapping her tail feathers so she cant go very far at all but a bird intent on getting out will go for the open window/door for sure! I saw an add for a lost african grey earlier-they must be frantic!
I will have a look on the parrot forum my daughters a member of as they do post lost/found adds on there , i did look on gumtree but no ones posted one missing. if they do though i will let you know asap or otherwise my offer still stands as one more to us isnt a bother and may keep sunny our cockatiel entertained as her screeching in "lovebird" all day is rather pityfull:o

    Hi,

Thanks for link, we have spoken to the lady, doesn't think it is hers as hers has grey on it's wings and the one we found does not (unless it's lost the grey colour through stress?!). Also contacted someone from Coventry, but again theirs had grey on it's wings.

We have had a phone call off someone else who lives Birmingham and lost theirs around a year ago, she's going to have a chat on the phone with the bird tomorrow night (sounds funny I know but there is a case where someone found theirs through talking to it on the phone, so fingers crossed!).

But thank you for your help and offer of a home, will keep you updated.
