There were a few cars in the car park when I picked the wife up from the Cinema yesterday at 11pm. They were parked by TRU not burger king so I assumed they were waiting.
I though about it but couldn't be bothered, if I still want one in the new year I'll get it then they do decent bungles rather than the "sell as much as we can as they have no choice" bundles they are doing.0 -
Luckily, my son is 14 and old enough not to place great faith in Father Christmas to bring him his presents.
I'm hoping that Game are about to post off my console - they have already sent me the separate remote control - if I'm reading the "track my order" bit on the website correctly. (Quite what we're supposed to do with just a remote control if the rest of the pre order doesn't show up, isn't clear at the moment!)
I'd never buy from Ebay when the prices are ridiculous. I'd tell my child (as my parents did with me years ago when they couldn't get the doll I wanted) that Father Christmas had left me a letter saying he was terribly sorry but the parcel had fallen off the sleigh and had got broken, but that as soon as he could replace it, he would.
I was happy with that ;-)0 -

I can't believe people camped out all night for a Wii I only pre ordered one with woolies on 25 nov and picked it up yesterday, it's not as if nintendo have kept it a secret :rotfl:0 -
me and my husband were discussing this today as he went to northampton, didnt get one, it would not surprise me if a surprise delivery came out of no where as they are trying the old playstation trick, the trouble we had trying to find one a few christmases ago and lo and behold a few days before x-mas everywhere had them and of course we rushed out to get one - neednt of bothered though as the stores had been inundated and there was plenty to go round. nintendo should have more as they may shoot themselves in the foot here, parents who's children are desparate may resort to an x-box or ps2 as they have come down in price, and will have lost some potential buyers.
personally i am not that bothered but it does make me mad when they do this they know there are kids out there big and small who want these toys etc, i would also not buy from ebay, overpriced, guarantee? and risky getting damaged or lost? in the post.
i also cant see the ps3 being a huge ebay profit as it is after christmas and i am sure there will be many waiting for it to come down from @ £500 mark to the £199 mark.
rant over :xmassign:0 -

Prices and bundles at toys r us are as follows:
239.99= nintendo wii with wii sports. Monster trucks 4x4 game. Steering wheel and a 1gb sd memory card.
249.99=nintendo wii with wii sports. Monster trucks 4x4 game. Steering wheel. Pinball game (looks quite good). Fruit fall game
289.99=nintendo wii with wii sports. zelda game and any two games or your choice. monster trucks. steering wheel
If you wna find out when they are getting more in or more info on the bundles then i would ring them up. They seem to be getting in orders quite frequently so keep checkin. Alot of stores don't even know they are getting them so keep ringing to check.
Quite pricey compared to buying the consoles on their own but it depends on how much you want it.
Happy christmasFinally got a wii at toys r us after 11 hours of queing0
