  • There should be stock for all pre-orders Nintendo just do this to create the hype and the coverage they get on the TV is free advertising and when people think they can't get hold of it they want it more.

It's the same with evry console, the machines get hyped up and then they release them in small batches saying their is a shortage or high demand so it keeps people interested and the media end up reporting on how people cannot get hold of items and you also hear about people selling them on ebay which gets reported in the papers so it's all publicity for the companies

It would be good if everyone could get hold of a console within the first weeks of release but the companies would probably prefer us to wait for weeks / months before they fully ship unit into shops

Amazon usually give the weight of products so it might be on there.
Its seems quite heavy, you could look on ebay and see what postage they are charging. Make sure you insure for its full value.
  • Did anyone get one today?

It should be £18.50 to send by special delivery. I think they are around 8kg
  • Personally I think that wiis will all come out from nowhere in the next week or so, from a manufacturing point of view it isn't good policy to hype quantities that you can't deliver on, although psp3 are hardly breathing down anyones neck here. Perhaps people who are buying to sell on should take note, after xmas we will all be able to get hold of them, and to be honest, the last place that I will buy from is e-bay.....luckily enough I'm not buying for my kids.
