Can Chaps payments clear on Saturdays?

Recently changed umbrella companies due to payment problems. Im with parasol as of the other day and I asked them for same day payment yesterday. Its normally £35 but being a new customer they agreed to do it free this time.
However it has not went in to my account. Needless to say I am less than happy having had nothing but problems with my old umbrella company forcing me to pay parasols more expensive rates.
I am not sure which system of payment they use for fast transfers but I was wondering if there is any chance it could clear on a Saturday.
I'm not hopeful!

CHAPS or BACS won't clear on a weekend.

I doubt very much if the company's office will be open on a Saturday.
OP, I think it's highly unlikely your payment will clear today. If it was made as a same day Faster Payment yesterday then it's normally either credited withing 2 hours or the payment fails and most likely reverts to BACS. If it was a CHAPS payment made before the cut off then it should have cleared yesterday, if it was made after the cut off then it won't clear until Monday.0 -
Their website says helpline staff available on an 0800 24/7 hence my suggestion. (I only looked them up as I didn't have a clue what an umbrella company was! other than for the manufacture of them.)0

Yeah but they only have a receptionist on who cant access anything and told me to ring back in office hours so about as useful as a chocolate teapot.
Didn't get paid so quite frustrated about it happening in consecutive weeks. I was guaranteed the fast payment was done yesterday and the chap even emailed me to say it had been completed. Most likely a clerical error but having been given that excuse for most of last week with Springboard I am not at all happy about it. Especially as I am paying £27.50 per week for the service now which equates to more than 10% of my take home pay. I was happy to pay it for peace of mind and have been shafted at the first hurdle!!0
