Need advice on appealing ebay decision

I bought a item for my car 3 weeks ago and when the item turned up it looked ok so i left positive feedback, so when i went to fit the item on the car i found it was the wrong item so i contacted the seller and they are saying the part fit's what is stated in the listing so you have bought the wrong part, so i sent a message to say i sent my reg of my car before i bought the item and you replied it would fit my car, so the seller replied sorry we have got your email mixed up and we can confirm that the part does not fit your car, we can refund you the money for the item but not for you to send the item back, or if you would like we can replace the item when it comes back in stock. So as i wasn't happy with paying for the item to be sent back as i don't think it was my fault i opened a ebay dispute but as we wasn't getting anywhere i escalated the claim after 10 days.
Now i get this email from ebay saying
After careful investigation, it appears that you have the item for quite a long time. Also, we’ve seen that a “Positive Feedback” has been left for this transaction which states “Item as described, Fast delivery, A pleasure to deal with, Highly Recommended”.

Please be informed that all once the case is escalated all the details of the transaction will be reviewed. All the details of the case has a bearing when it comes to decision making. As the feedback you’ve left clearly states that the item you received is as described, I regret to inform you that we won’t be able to close the case in your favour.

I do understand how frustrating this would be. I strongly advised that in your future transaction, inspect the item upon delivery and if you think that it is not as described as it is in the listing, please open a case immediately.
So if i appeal the decision what should i write as i don't think ebay looked at was said in the dispute and just went on the feedback i left.

Refer to your local Trading Standards, you probably won't get anywhere with seller or Ebay. You did leave feedback saying it was as described, so to later claim it wasn't may look as though you have damaged it.
