Tablet v Netbook

Another one of these.

My wife wants an iPAd, i'm trying to get her to buy something else. budget about a monkey, what would YOU buy?

    If she wants an IPad then she wants an IPad.

    However, I personally would prefer an Android 3 tablet, like the Xoom (first preference) or the Asus Eepad Transformer, or the Acer Iconia. Later this year the Samsung Galaxy is going to come out in a larger version, thinner than the IPad too, but I believe Vodafone have got the monopoly on this in this country.

    Really depends what she wants, has she even considered the amount of Android apps out there, a lot of which are free?

    I'm saving my monkey for another 3 months, then I'm buying a tablet to take to Canada as a multitasker including GPS (or sat nav?) internet on the road (booking hotels etc) and anything else we throw at it.
    What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare
