Hi no I joined to see if anyone knew a code for Sky TV, and stumbled accross this!! If thats ok?
We did get a defence from Pepipoo, , but it just went on about the rd traffic act and was really long an we could not understand most of it. But it sounded good.
We also complained to the BPA but they invesigated and concluded that they had acted within the guide lines.
It was in Liverpool city centre private apartment blocks and she had no permit on display!0 -

Hi sorry if I sounded sceptical sometimes we have people joining and posting that a case has been won. However I did remember this posting on Pepipoo after I posted.
Unfortunately every now and then a PPC will have a pop. The county court can sometimes go with the PPC. Plus I notice your friend had a couple of invoices. So making the claim more viable.
I am sorry your friend has lost out, however unfortunately for her, she is the exception to the norm.

You know when you are dealing with a quality organisation when you discover the strap-line on their website says:
I have no doubt they're effing good at issuing ticketsYour first point for call for effical parking solutions
Edit (at 21.10 hrs)
What is even funnier is that having clearly been pricked by the comments here they've now edited the strap-line to read:Your first point for call for parking solutions
I'm not precious and perfectly willing to advise. I think, guys, that what you are trying to say is: "Your First Port of Call For Parking Solutions" Traditionally, strap-lines like this are capitalised and this may or may not include a capital "O" in the word "of" - both are perfectly acceptable.
Oh, and that difficult word is spelt: E T H I C A L.
Alternative versions of this advice are available in large print and crayon. For large print please head-but your keyboard now. For those requiring the crayon version please punch the space bar now or mash both mouse buttons at the same time.My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -
They are based in Birkenhead. They took my friend to court and Won. She thought that they would never win as she had read other threads.
I felt terrible as it was me who told her to ignore!
Just thought you shoukld know
Hi, this is everton2011, couldn't get in to my account.
So they can take you to court then?! Urhh I don't know what to do now!
I received my first letter last week from LPE. I don't have a scanner to upload the letter. But it goes on the lines of ... Notice to Owner
(gives me the details, time, date, place etc) It is now too late to pay the discounted amount.
As your Parking Charge Notice has not been paid we requested your details from the DVLA.
If you believe your data has been used inappropiately you can complain to the Information Commissioner and the DVLA in writing.
The driver of the above vehicle at the time of the charge notice being issued is responsible for the full payment.
If you were not the driver at the time of issue it is within your best interests to supply the full correct contact details of the driver.
Payment must be made within 28 days of this notice. Failure to do so will increase the original Charge to £120. If it is still not paid within 14 days, a County Court Order will be issued against the owner/keeper.
Do I keep ignoring or will they take me to court? as I said in my first thread, I was parked on private land when they ticketed me.
also, I don't know if this make any difference, but I showed the "parking ticket" to my dad who is a printer and guess who do the printing work for them... surprise surprise, my dad!! haha!! At the moment their requesting £80 from me...0 -
Keep ignoring these clowns. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

Not a chance ..you are not being truthful..no way you got a Pepipoo defence for a PRIVATE ticket which "went on about the rd traffic act"0 -
So I won't get taken to court then if I keep ignoring them? Don't they have to prove it was me driving & have evidence themselves that my car was parked there?!0

You have probably got more chance of winning the lottery!
Yes you are right they have too much to prove to try court!0 -
Don't forget that the standard of proof in a civil case is "balance of probabilities" and if they had, let's say, a written statement from one of their car park attendants saying that ABC 123 was parked between times on a certain date then without good rebuttal evidence it will carry.everton2111 wrote: »So I won't get taken to court then if I keep ignoring them? If push was ever to come to shove they would probably try to portray the view that registered keepers are most likely to be the driver. Judges have adopted the approach that this is generally true.
However, in reality all the PPC wants is a "live" person at the end of their letters they can threaten - that is what the business model is based on.My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
