Its basically the speed of the card, ie. how quickly data can be read and written - the higher the number, the faster the card.
FWIW I purchased the same card (class 4 16GB Sandisk) only a couple of days ago for around £14, so they are about 1/2 price!0 -

the speed it writes at eg i can get the class 4 at that price anyway BUT i have just had to pay £30 for a class 10 for example.... on the latest 16 mega pixel cameras or hd camcorders you need these quicker cards IMHOGet Appletv2 & XBMC in and thank me later :beer:0 -

OH did explain when I asked him - think he was shocked I asked a techie question.
However all I heard was "it's the speed that data blah blah blah blah...:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I worked out it was a great deal as Tesco were selling the 2Gb for the same price and the 8Gb for around £15.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

It's the sort of price you can find but not what most places sell for. My rule of thumb is £1 per gb for class 10.0 -
