Antifreeze Help !
Options
I called the RAC yesterday because my engine was overheating due to the engine being very low on water. Unfortunately he put water in it but he only had a few drops of antifreeze on him so he put what he had in the radiator. I have never put antifreeze in the radiator before so I would like tips on how to do it.
How much should I put in? The RAC man put the few drops of antifreeze he did have down the filler cap the same as where he put the water. Is this the right place to put it?
I want to make sure I get this done by tonight because temperatures according to the weather forecast is going to be -3 degrees centrigrade.
Any tips from any experts on this board would be very helpful. In case this is important I have a Citroen Xantia Turbo Diesel. Although I assume antifreeze is the same for all cars.

Most cars would have as much as 50% mix antifreeze/water, so depending on how much water was used to top up, or how many times you've been topping it up, without antifreeze will be a bit hit n miss.
Easiest thing to do is call in at a garage , get them to test it. Most fast fit places will do it for free - then charge a few £ for the correct mix to top up.
You should change coolant - drain the radiator & cooling system at 2 or 3 year intervals.
But...WHERE DID THE WATER GO??? This needs checking NOW!!!
