Credit card charges help for Ryanair flight please

Hi,

Can some kind person please help me.

I've found an incredibly priced flight for which I need to pay via credit card tonight.(I know fairfx etc save on costs and i wish i could use mine but available funds and other things means I need to pay using the credit card.)

The flight cost is £19,plus £6 for admin fees,so the total Ryanair is charging is £25.

Can someone please tell me how much Capital One Classic will then charge me ?

The CC company will not charge you anything to pay for your flights, unless you don't pay off your balance by the due date.

But Ryanair may add an additional fee to pay by CC.

Presumably £25. They will only pass on Ryanair's charge surely?

But does it not count as a purchase,or a cash purchase or something else !? Or is there a 1.5% CC surcharge ? something like that ?

Im not the best when it comes to credit card fees !

It's a straightforward purchase, the CC company will not levy any additional charges.

I would suggest you do some reading up just to ensure that you understand what sort of uses credit cards charge you extra for.

I buy plenty of Ryanair flights (I'm the "official purchaser for family and friends" :rotfl:) and the credit card issuer will not charge you anything. It is Ryanair who will charge £6 per flight if you don't pay with a prepaid mastercard. That is what they call admin fees. Had you used a prepaid mastercard the flight should have cost you just £19.

Ryanair have to provide one form of purchase exempt of fees. They choose the prepaid mastercard as its presumebly harder to come by. This is the only way to beat their fees.
