Question about Peterborough Building Soc account

hello there
My husband has found an old account book from the Peterborough Building Society. The last transaction was in 1987, when he withdrew most of the money leaving £4.01 - then forgot all about the account.
He phoned the Norwich and Peterboro BS three weeks ago to find out how to get this money and the interest (every little helps!). They said they'd send information but haven't. There are no branches anywhere near here.
What can we do?
Thanks for any advice you can give

They merged with the Norwich BS in October 1986. The passbook gives non-signaway membership of the N&P BS.
Another approach would be to send the passbook to Head Office to be updated.0 -
And the head office of N&P is at:
Chief Office
Peterborough Business Park
Lynch Wood
Peterborough
PE2 6WZ
I've been with them for years and have always found both my local branch and the chief office to be customer-friendly.
Their e-mail contact address is available through https://www.npbs.co.uk - perhaps they could advise you via that route?"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass...it's about learning how to dance in the rain." ~ Vivian Greene0
