Tesco offer to "New customers only"

I read in the Business section of today's Daily Telegraph that Tesco are targetting customers who do their main shopping elsewhere by offering a £5 voucher together with a discount of £18 if they spend £70 - as a regular customer of Tesco this really annoys me!
Don't Tesco realise that by offering better deals to non-customers they are upsetting their regular customers.
Why not send an email of complaint to customer.services.@tesco.co.uk

No reliance should be placed on the above.

Tesco was doing a cashback thing where if you bought car insurance with them you got cash back according to how much the premium was, but the criteria was if you took your policy out or renewed during one month. We had took out a new policy a month before, this was very unfair as each persons car insurance is due at different times of the year. I rang up tesco to ask them about it and was told i could cancel my existing policy to take up this offer but it would cost £60 to cancel but the cash back would be for £80 so only getting £20.And yes the lady in the avatar is me

Sorry, I'm not a regular tesco customer but I shall take advantage of their offer for one week. Unfortunately this is the way all businesses operate - new mortgages, new mobiles, etc etc. - your words will fall on deaf ears so only suggestion is to be a 'shopping tart' & don't give your allegiance to one store.0

It happens all the time .. mortgages, loans, accounts, utility companies etc. .. they all pay big bucks to entice new customers but do very little for existing customers

How will they know if you're a new customer or not? Do you have to sign up for a clubcard to get this offer?0
