It was definitely on our local news yesterday saying they HAD gone into administration? I've just googled it & there are pages of hits saying Ernst & Young were appointed Administrators yesterday? Its even made the Telegraph. There is a story from 28th June saying "in next 10 days" but it definitely actually happened yesterday.
I've just read this, though
Arcadia’s Sir Philip Green and value fashion chain Primark have emerged as potential buyers for discount department store group TJ Hughes, which collapsed into administration this morning.
It is reported that there is already a high level of interest in the business, which is also thought to include discount department store chain B&M Bargains.
Former owner Endless, the private equity group, is said to be considering buying back 30 of the stores and continuing to trade them as TJ Hughes.
All shops remain open and trading at present, and staff wages have been paid in full.
OMG!! What will I do if B&M goes, too?????????????
S xx
I think it mean B&M are interested in TJ Hughes0 -

High Street premises? Maybe run the existing business down and re-fit / re-brand as what ever brand is missing in each location??
Primark would be the same - they'd cherry pick off teh stores they wanted. Looks like TJ Hughes might have a management buyout of other stores and retain the brand.0
