  • Sorry if this is a bit soon and i'm really sorry to all those staff who might be losing thier jobs but does anyone know if and when they will be have a clearence sale? My cousin love buying her shoes from thier and thought i might take her if they have some decent stuff in (bearing in mind our nearest store is over 20 miles away so we dont get a chance to go often - would be nice to stock up)
    TIA

Went to the S!!!!horpe store today they had a 60% sale on some items but not a great deal, got a few bargains but was hoping to get a pop up tent but nothing like that in store..

Got a pair of Black leather boots for £4.99 Reduced from £30
a few kids books but they were still £1 & a couple of pairs of sunnies for 99p..Otherwise most things were still full price... Think at the moment go if your near but would'nt bother making a special trip..

Am i missing something here? of course its a grabbit - its all about getting things at a great price - and kingfisher blue did - so if you want to go to the store that they went to - and 'grab' some of the bargains then you can! - it wasnt just a heads up on the fact that the store may have reductions in the future - it was about the bargains they had found already!- tuhhh some people on here get all uppy lol! ;)

I was in my local store today and I asked if the shoes I was buying for my hubbie could be returned if he didn't like them. The sales ast said " No because we are in administration, there are no refunds or exchanges". But they didn't have any sign up stating this and I wonder if she would have told me if I hadn't asked.

It was definitely on our local news yesterday saying they HAD gone into administration? I've just googled it & there are pages of hits saying Ernst & Young were appointed Administrators yesterday? Its even made the Telegraph. There is a story from 28th June saying "in next 10 days" but it definitely actually happened yesterday.

    I've just read this, though

Arcadia’s Sir Philip Green and value fashion chain Primark have emerged as potential buyers for discount department store group TJ Hughes, which collapsed into administration this morning.

It is reported that there is already a high level of interest in the business, which is also thought to include discount department store chain B&M Bargains.

Former owner Endless, the private equity group, is said to be considering buying back 30 of the stores and continuing to trade them as TJ Hughes.

All shops remain open and trading at present, and staff wages have been paid in full.

OMG!! What will I do if B&M goes, too?????????????

    S xx
