Power showers noisy ?

I was thinking of fitting a non electric power shower and was wondering are they very noisy ? if you take the letter L as bathroom walls the long line will be a bedroom wall and the short line where the shower will be fitted is a corridor wall will it disturb the people sleeping in the adjacent bedroom even though the shower is not directly on their wall ? as we have low hot water pressure and wanted a good shower.

Alot depends on the quality of pump you buy, the better quality ones tend to be much quieter, you can hardly hear the one we have now.
