Wheel in motion - halifax & shop direct

Hey guys -

ok got my 1st letter today from Halifax credit cards stating they believe my complaint is about the way I was sold ppi and enclosed was a complaints leaflet which gives details of their commitment to resolve complaints as quickly and simply as possible.

Is this one of their standard letters?

    ok - just got off the phone - shop direct sorting my catalogues out -

    she advised the protection was added back in 2002 by redcats they (shop direct) then bought the company out in 2006 so they will deal with complaint from 2006 and i will need to go to recats for pre 2006.

    funnily she went through another questionaire which was exactly like the one i completed and when i told her of cover i had at work she went " so u didnt need it then"

    LETS SEE WHAT THEY COME BACK WITH THEN.....

    nothing further from these 2- shop direct sent me a holding letter for the 3/8/11 and halifax advs 16 weeks about 3 weeks ago

    QUICK UPDATE

    REDCATS / SHOP DIRECT - they rejected my complaint on the grounds ppi was added by a verbal contract and i had 30 days to cancel. ive asked for this telephone transcript which they advised me they are not oblidged to send to me. however in 2002 the company the underwrote the ppi policy was an irish co - so i have complained to the uk and irish fos.
    still waiting to hear from them.


    halifax - they upheld my cc card ppi - no calculations in the letter, however they will send the calculations out - if your not happy withit you can still complain about it, but they are accepting all blame for adding ppi (so yipee).
