How old are the pups, and what has the vet said?0

If you have concerns, speak to a vet.
My partner used to be a nurse. She said once that the biggest healthcare problem in the UK is the Internet because people look symptoms up on the net to try and find a "simple" solution for what they're feeling and all too often the symptoms are something severe which a medical professional would have picked up on much earlier.
The same logic can be applied to animals. If you are ever concerned about what an animal is doing then a professional opinion should be sought. Seeking advice from the Internet, unfortunately, could lead you to writing something off as normal when it could in fact be serious. Nobody here can see these puppies or see the poop or anything else and a lot of serious conditions could carry symptoms that are usually associated with normal or non-serious conditions.0 -
What breed are the pups?0

If they havent seen the vet already, I would do so tomorrow - most vets have a saturday morning surgery.
In the meantime, ensure that the pup is feeding, that mum is not rejecting him, and is seeing to his toileting, and that she is keeping him warm.
Veterinary surgeries are obliged to offer 24hr care, so if you are worried, ring your surgeryI don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Pups should always see the vet soon after birth, we took ours and Mum in the next day. If we hadn't we could have lost them all as Mum didn't have enough milk to feed them and her weight plummeted fast in the 24 hours after she gave birth which we didn't notice as we weren't looking out for it ('milking of their back' was not mentioned in the books we'd read).
We had to bottle feed the puppies and put Mum on a ridiculously high calorie diet especially as she was still trying her best to feed them too. She thought it was great though she had 3 slices of backon every day for about 2 weeks and she's only a tiny little Papillon."Life is what you make of it, whoever got anywhere without some passion and ambition?0 -
