No problem. Just thought this would be most useful over on this board. :)

There are so many interesting boards on this site, it's no wonder people get confused! :)

Receive instant discount vouchers worth between £5 and £10 when you sign up for the Maplin mailing list.
Trying to earn £2015 in 2015. Slightly early start ;). £175.88 today.

They often send your voucher codes if you are a customer and havent purchased anything for a while. I often get voucher codes throught there email newsletter and through the post.

No longer a user, goodbye folks. PLEASE delete my account. Thank you

When you sign up for their newsletter you automatically get vouchers for money off. http://www.maplins.co.uk

If you wish to buy an item for £39.99 - this would not qualify for the lowest voucher, which is £3 off £40.

So go to the Clearance section http://www.maplin.co.uk/Clearance.aspx - and keep scrolling though the 1300+ of items.

Eventually you will find some resisitors at just 1p!

For example product code G8R2 is £0.01

Add this to your order and the £3 discount will now apply.

Of course the same tip applies to any order just below a voucher level. Add as many resistirs as is required. ;)

Hopefully this is the correct forum - if not feel free to move it.

    Thanks.

I subscribed to the newsletter a year ago after blandishments from an instore assistant but only occasionally do I see a newsletter through the post & always long after I've picked it up from the store.

You're very lucky if you get your discount vouchers. I use to but they suddenly stopped. I've sent emails to every department asking why I don't get them anymore but every time the emails get returned to me!!

The Maplin website is a complete waste of time. Recently I was interested in a satellite receiver kit that they had on offer but I couldn't find it on the site, even when I entered their product code number.

I find the staff in the stores very helpful, it's a shame that they're let down by a crap computer system. Last Saturday it took over 15 mins to find out a price for me (nothing to do with the staff who bent over backwards to help me). I've put the details into the Maplin seach engine and surprise, surprise the site doesn't recognise the product, or their code no.

Clearly, Walt Disney lives, and is running Maplins.
