Hard Water

I am on holiday at my daughter in Berks and the water is terrible.

Soap scum floating on top of the water when I wash myself, even using jug filtered water the tea is yeuch!

White scum round toilet bowl and sink unless you use gallons of cleaner.

How do you manage?

The best thing I can say is "you get used to it".

At least you can return home after your hols.

If the water taste really bothers you then I would advise you to buy some of the "biggest con" ( bottled water) whilst you are here on holiday.

    Enjoy your visit.

PS...I hope your daughter isnt making you do the cleaning

PPS.It costs extra to buy milk with added calcium, this way its free.:rotfl:

I tend to think of it as normal. As Ive lived in Norfolk all my life, I dont know any different. Except when we've been to Cornwall and Devon and I go to shower and end up filling the shower with bubbles as we need to use so much to get a lather but in soft water you dont, oh and my hair goes so soft. We are going to install a softener though as our boiler got blocked with scale. Have to agree with your daughter though, you do need to wipe sinks and baths out afterwards or it just builds up too quick, cilit bang is my friend though ;)
