Presumably you have a good reason to come here yet ignore the advice of Martin over opting for a fixed rate?

I assumed they were asking for advice? I've just signed up for Online Saver4 for eleccy because I don't want to be stuck with the possibility of paying an exit fee and I like the idea of paying what I owe on bill monthly.

Is there something wrong with that?

Nothing at all. It's your money and how you wish to spend it is up to you. You have considered the options and have your own reasons for the decision you made.

The OP has not given any reasons for going against the general advice from Martin, hence my question

    :)

    thanks

having not looked at energy in detail, i just thought the online gave a good option. but taking advice here outlines the "fixed", so will look at that option albeit maybe a little more now.
