i was boiling a saucepan of milk on my induction hob the other day and it boiled over.
now i can't get any of the burnt on milk off. i normally use a product called "hob brite" to clean the hob but that doesn't seem to do anything. i tried using a web scourer to get it off but it won't budge it. now i'm stuck and don't know what to do! i can't use the hob ring until i get it off as when i switch it on, it just stinks of burnt milk!
please help! many thanks!

You should have been supplied with a little scraper when you bought the hob. If you haven't got it then go back to your supplier and buy one.0

You need one of these, they're brilliant.

As said above, you do usually get one with the hob.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
Have you tried barkeepers friend its available at Sainsburys. Its a must have cleaning product, that might shift it cleans most things and doesnt scratch0

soap & water & let it soak overnight keep the liquid away from the controls, which are often touch sensitive or it'll throw a wobbly0

In all honesty, just use the correct tool and the burnt milk will flake off without any damage to the hob at all. Forget about soaking and special liquids. A wee bit of pressure against the caked on muck is all that's needed.0
