I was sold a payment protection about 8 or 9 yrs ago, it was with a broker who added £7,500 to the mortagage, said it was cheaper that way. but I cannot remember the brokers details and cannot remember if the mortgage was with Alliance and Leicester or with Chelsea. Can I do anything... Do not want to go with one of the companies that randomly ring me up.....

Easy, phone each of them up, give them your name, address and DOB, if you had the mortgage with them, ask them who the broker was.

Depending on who sold it, where they sold it and what colour tie they were wearing, it varies how far back you can go.

People on here have won mis sell with loans from the 90s, me included!.
Think it depends on the bank though.
