Next 8 day return policy?

Hi

Hope this is the right place for this query, if not admin please can you move it to the right place?

My question is to those who may have have experience or a better understanding of the policy.

I bought a dress for a night out from next online and paid with my debit card [i dont have a next account] , it didnt fit so i reordered another size, i ended up not needing the dress as i was unwell and unable to go out, so i now have 2 dresses i dont need.

I was planning to return them to a store so as to avoid the courier charge of £3.99 for picking the return up.

I was planning to do it today, after checking the policy online it says that returns must be made within 8 days, i have gone over the 8 days by about 5-6 days.

Does anyone know if this policy is at all bendable?

both dresses are stil in the packaging unworn with all labels attached.

Do i have any chance of getting a refund or am i stuffed?

Thanks in advance. :)

As there's no fault with the dresses, you're not entitled to a refund, however if you bring them back and ask politely, they may be willing to refund as a gesture of goodwill.

One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.

If you don't ask you don't get, be charming and they might refund you anyway

go in with a bandage on your head and this might help your case
you will get a credit note but if the dress is easily sale able because its popular and next is a decent company you probably will get a full refund if as said you ask politely

Under DSR rules you have a 7 day cooling off period -- this means you can ask to cancel the contract within this time period (8 days as per next policy in your post). This doesn't mean you have to have the item with them within that time.

Just worth knowing for future reference as you can request the return then take it back a few days after, once you a little better.
