I seem to be learning so much about my house since I bought it yesterday! :-\
Apparently it sits in an area which has different stamp duty thresholds due to deprivation?
http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/asplib/postcode.asp
G20 0UD is the postcode of the property.
Cheers for any advice......... it doesn't actually change much now but will be useful for me to know for future reference.

Currently the 1% stamp duty threshold is 150,000 in deprived areas instead of 125,000 for those who aren't first time buyers.0

According to the website http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/sdlt/reliefs-exemptions/disadvantaged-areas.htm
Up to 150,000 zero, and between 150,000 and 250,000 it's 1%.0
