Morning, im just in the midst of packing up some recent ebay sales, one of the buyers has a confirmed PO box address showing in paypal, ive not come across this before, are there any potiential problems with sending to a PO BOX? The items sold for £7.50, postage is 1st class recorded.
Anyone got any ideas about this?

I dont know what happens about the signature, perhaps Custardy could help being an ex-postie.
But apart from that, if it's the address given by paypal, I'd use it.0 -
I'd watch your expanded seller dashboard if you are using recorded on a £7.50 item.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Hope you dont mind my asking Soolin buy why? I'm showing my ignorance again.
Do you mean because it puts the postal cost up?
Yes, it makes you look expensive so buyers will see that most other sellers are charging for instance £1.33 standard second class and you are charging £2.10 - you are suddenly 'expensive' and that will be reflected in the stars. No seller ever wants to stand out and look more expensive than the others
If there are other sellers then many buyers would just not buy from you, but if you are the only seller then we sometimes have to and I am not alone in resenting having to pay 77p extra on a low end item when it is just going to be bunged through my door anyway.
Recorded is only needed if you believe you sell items that attract scammers, otherwise there is no need to use it at all. If an item fails to arrive all standard post including recorded is covered up to £46 for loss.
Seriously, make a habit of watching your expanded dashboard, if it starts to drop or if you get any 1 or 2* then you will need to rethink this.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Yes, that makes sense thanks.0 -
Thanks, yes i understand what your saying soolin, i am currently sitting pretty with 4.9s across the board, have only ever had one 1 star rating and that was across the board, from a buyer who bought a pick up only item and then never turned up! the whole experiance was very strange tbh.
The actual P&P Charged is £1.50, actual cost to send is £1.52, plus approx 5p for padded envelope. ( i get these nice and cheaply:D )
The under charge on P&P is deliberate, and i have posted about my postage methods before.
Most buyers dont like to think they are paying anything above the postage cost, nevermind paying for packaging and the sellers trip to the PO, time, blah blah blah, which some sellers state in their listings they charge for??? By undercharging slightly my buyers happily think they have a bargain on the postage, it works for me.Everyday im shufflin' Proud Padder ~ All Hail The Power of Pad0 -
I use a Po Box for anything delivered to me, never had any problems.0

You can get a proof of postage certificate free, gratis and for nothing from a post office counter as well.

Just an update, buyer had replied quickly stating they are happy for me to send it recorded, and that everything gets redirected from PO box to their house, so it will be signed for.
Also just out of interest, the buyer actually sells these items on and are a business seller.
They charge £2.50 ecomony delivery for 1 item, they are getting 2 items P&P for £1.50 1st class rec.....Think its them that should be watching their ratings!!Everyday im shufflin' Proud Padder ~ All Hail The Power of Pad0 -
All mail to PO boxes gets the same treatment as to any other address.0
