more expensive but if you use a lot works out the cheapest to use by far !

Well, each to their own, I suppose, but I wouldn't fancy my wallpaper being gently steamed off by my TD!
Reverse function is simply that the drum goes first one way, then stops and goes the other, so the clothes are shaken up more and don't end up in one lump going round and round in the same direction. Reduces the drying time needed and reduces the creasing. Worth getting if you can.0
