Hi!
I am looking in Ampthill at a 3 bed detached new build. How does £250k sound for 980 sq ft? Desperate not to make a mistake on my next purchase so any advice greatly appreciated

Can't comment on the price per se, but I would expect parts of Ampthill to be quite pricey as there are some nice areas and its a bit of a commuter town, being a stones throw from train station and a M1 junction up the road in flitwick.If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything0 -
Thank you for replying. Anyone give any advice on prices for the area and for a detached 3 bed 980 sq ft?0

Have you looked at the houses on the market with floorplans? The decent floorplans will have square footage on. Divide the asking price by the suare footage and you'll get a direct comparison for asking price per square foot.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

716 square feet, asking price £216,995 = £303
yours = £255
Is that the asking price or what you want?Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Thank you! I'm new to all this! Asking 264k but I need to think about 250k offer. Sales advisors seem ok with this.0

Expensive but that's Ampthill for you and it's much nicer than Flitwick, although it's very difficult to spot where one ends and the other begins. However in the best areas of Bedford that sort of money is being asked for 1930s 3 bed semis with garage and fair size rear garden.
Also http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-29596801.html on at £240K
and I think this is ex council
http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-34115489.html on at £225If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -
