Hi guys,
Confused a bit. Spoke to someone at Virgin Money to enquire about their CC.
Going via MSE link (confirmed on phone) you can get a BT fee of 1.5%; customer service rep says SBT (money transfer) to current account is charged a 4% fee while on the stoozing.com site, they say the SBT fee is 1.5%.
Who's right?
Ta muchly.

I asked the same questions of Virgin CC and got same answer as you. I would suggest Virgin are right as they are the ones who will be applying the charges to your account.0 -

What if one applies via the MSE link, I wonder if that means ALL transfers would have a promo rate?Tough times never last longer than tough people.0 -

I did apply via the MSE link but the 1.5% fee did not apply to SBT, according to the guy I spoke to.
Shame as I got a good credit limit and I dont have enough CC balances to use it all up!0 -
Hello, the 1.5% rate is for Balance Transfer not Money Transfer - I have applied to Virgin too and it is there in their summary box. G.0

The Stoozing.com website must be wrong then. Thanks guys.Tough times never last longer than tough people.0

They quoted me a money transfer rate of 5% last month. Its good it has gone down 1%Life is not the way it’s supposed to be. It’s the way it is. The way you cope with it is what makes the difference.0

The table of SBT cards on stoozing.com says 4% for this card.
Where are you seeing 1.5%?
As does the thread started by YB on there.0 -
If you go to the Best Balance Transfer article you can see this - apply thru this link -
The Virgin* card gives 0% for 16 months on shifted debts with a 1.5% fee (exclusively available via Moneysupermarket, the link above takes you there). The low fee means it can beat the longest transfer deals above if you pay consistent large chunks off.

The table's changed now. For a while it had 2/3 Virgin money cards, with one with a 1.5% fee right at the top and 2 more with a 4% fee lower down.
We decided a money transfer is too expensive for the small amount of short term debt one might have considered moving.
With the almost universal 4% SBT fee, what can one do with these cards these days, eh?Tough times never last longer than tough people.0 -
BTW, does anyone else consider the low rate of 16.8% ideal as a spending card for after the promotional 0% BT expires?Tough times never last longer than tough people.0
