Drilling through tiles
Comments

There is a special drill bit for tiles which I jave used successfully many times. The trick is the tape you put on before marking and drilling, really makes it easy.
As for the suction ones, send me the money instead, I'll make much better use of it than buying those rubbish items :-)Norn Iron Club Member No. 252 :beer:0 -
Yes there are special drill bits for tiles, they look like a little spear, very effective, got mine from B & Q years ago. Iexpect your local DIY shop has them0

there are as stated special bits for tiles, but you really dont need one. masking\gaffer tape advice is the best. use a masonry bit and give the drill a open handed slap at the back to mark the tile slightly, this makes a little dent and stops the bit slipping. keep the speed low and hammer off until through the tile.
cordless drills can be ideal due to lower speed0
