Ooh that's quite cheap! Did you keep the rest of the garage and just replace the roof then?

Yes the structure was fine, but the roof was shot.We replaced roof with corrugated tin and put a new door on.
A new garage was £1800,cost us £500 in total for roof/door.

None if it your own white asbestos in your own property and you do it yourself , however you do need a licence to transport it.
They are guides how to do this on the HSE website
As vax2000 says there is guidance at the HSE website but AFAIAA you do *not* need a licence to transport abestos cement products. They must however be wrapped in a specific way and disposed of at specific sites.

Your own Council webpages should also tell you how to safely deal with removal and disposal.

My parent's garage has asbestos in the roof, as long as you don't disturb it, it's fine :D
