Hello all,
I have seen how many of you are having problems with sumbitting competition entry forms on Company.co.uk.
I Emailed them and this is what they told me to do:
Dear Kyle,
Thank you for your email and apologies for any delay in replying.
I'm sorry you're having difficulties with the site. Occasionally, we get random glitches on the website which results in something that normally does work not doing so for a while and then correcting itself. As these are random it's very difficult to replicate the problem and so correct it permanently. May I suggest that you clear your cache and then try again?
The cache is your computer's memory of the pages you have viewed. When you go to a page you have already seen, your computer will pull it from your cache rather than go out to the worldwide web. If you've had problems on that page previously the chances are you will again because of the cache history. By clearing the cache, when you go to that page the computer has to pull it from the worldwide web and so you get a fresh copy and the chance to do what you want.
If you use Internet Explorer go to Tools (on the top horizontal bar) then to Internet Options, then Temporary Internet Files (about halfway down the General page) and click on Delete Files. This can take a few minutes to clear so don't worry if the page seems to freeze for a while. If you are using Safari on a Mac, click on Safari and then on Clear Cache. In Firefox, go to Tools, then Private Data and select what you wish to remove un-ticking those you don't want deleted.
If this still doesn't work, please let me know which browser you are using ie IE, Firefox, and which version eg 7,6. This latter you can find by going to Help and then About IE/Firefox etc. That page will show you which version you're on. Armed with this information we should be able to investigate and take the appropriate action to rectify any fault.
I did not know where to put this, so feel free to move it, where appropriate.Thank you all for helping me make my day by saving money!0 -
I've emailed them again & posted another message on their facebook wall telling them that I did so several days ago & had no response & that it is everybody, not just me, having this problem. Hope they get it sorted as I'm getting fed up of not getting any response from themPositivity is the key to success0

Thanks for the advice, I find their response largely simpleminded; I have been a web developer for nearly 10 years and never once have I heard of a random glitch that is so complicated to locate and can't be fixed in a reasonable time frame. It is only a web form, how difficult could it be?? lol0
