My homepage on IE6 is somehow stuck on Tiscali's address, despite my not using them any more. I have tried changing it though Internet Tools, am unable to edit the registry item - an error message comes up - and Tiscali support are as much help as the proverbial chocolate teapot. Whilst it is not the biggest problem that I have ever faced, it has become something of an annoyance. Has anyone got any suggestions or programs that might help me change the blasted thing?!?

Best advice I can offer is DON'T use Internet Exploder. It's the most targeted browser for malware. Download Firefox or Opera and use that instead.0

Try updating it to the latest version.. there was a bug in one recent version that stopped the homepage changes.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0

Do you have something like Spybot or Winpatrol installed?
You might have accidentally enabled something that stops homepage hijacking & hence no-one, even you, can change it0
