Renting a room to family

Hi!
I am currently on a very low income and likely to be for the next year as I am setting up my own business . My children have just flown the nest and I live on my own. I was thinking of renting out a room but one of my daughters (who is single) is now on Maternity Leave and receives Maternity Allowance and then, I think, Income Support until she goes back to work. I was wondering if I could rent her (and baby) a room. Would she be able to get Housing Benefit if she was at home - she certainly can if she lives somewhere else - and how would it affect my very small tax credits?
Thanks

Ask your Local Authority's Housing Benefit people. I think that it's very unlikely that she would qualify for any help with her rent if she lives with family. State benefits were never set up in order for families to make money out of each other0

You cannot claim housing benefit when living in the home of family members.0
