Eurogiro from the Alliance and Leicester is a flat rate of £7.50

It sends to a number of countries, including Poland. As far as i'm aware there are usually no or low charges at the other side.

You need an A&L account, but you could check if it needs to be a full current account or if a basic/savings would do?

    http://www.alliance-leicester.co.uk/otherservices/index.asp?page=international-payments&content=send

    Go to http://www.eurogiro.com/

and look for members on the side, pick the country in question...

Martin rates their current account amongst the best too

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton

I'm a BM, in fact, if you work for Abbey you can send money via TT or draft for free, but the money has to come out of your Abbey account.
