Help me get this off

Bought new stainless steel downlighters and they have a sticker saying wattage of bulbs stuck on them. Whats the best thing to get this sticky residue off when i take the stickers off.
It looks crap

Isopropyl alcohol if you have any is pretty harmless to most things.

Betterware, Lakeland and some branches of Focus sell something called 'Sticky Stuff Remover' which unsurprisingly does as it says on the tin! Well, it's a bottle actually, but it's very good stuff, although it is about £4 for approx 200ml so not overly cheap. Does last ages though.

If you leave them on, they'll drop off after about 12 years.

Nail polish remover moves almost anything from a smooth surface.

if that fails and they are NOT wired up yet soapy water and a little elbow grease
