If her account has been closed, it could be that she is a serial scammer. It seems that ebay are now wise to buyers who are claiming non delivery on a regular basis and closing their accounts. Sorry OP doesn't help you, but at least she won't do it to anyone else.

I sent 4 parcels on Tuesday. 3 by SD and 1 by RD. Even the RD item has been updated with "the item has been delivered" blurb and the electronic signature.

    This didn't used to happen.

They are all being given the hand held electronic devices now - which updates the system. Takes my Postie 10 mins to get the right screen up though. He said he'll get the hang of it soon. If i'm not in though - he just posts it without bothering.

Royal Mail have finally joined the 21st century - just in time for privatisation.

My posties face was all excited , the first time he showed it me - he thought i'd be impressed.

"It takes a copy of your signature without a pen and paper" he beamed.

"I know", i said, "all the other mail companies have been having me sign them for 5 years".

    Poor fellow looked gutted.

Our posties still use the old book to sign for parcels, and as they often don't have it with them I suspect that is the reason we never have to sign for recorded. However the special delivery items come by van (although rarely before 1pm) and the van drivers do have a hand held thingy.

We only get the van service for special delivery as the normal post now arrives very late and would not fulfil the before 1pm criteria. Before that I have actually received special delivery items unsigned for - although very rarely.

And ever since then, all the "do not bend" have always fitted through the letterbox. ;)
