e.on will NOT increase prices, surely NOT?
Interesting conversation with an e.on agent just now after enquiring about fixed tariffs. He advised that e.on increased their prices in February so it was highly unlikely they would increase again in any current round triggered by Scottish Power. He said they haven't been given any announcements to this effect but indicated that their rises were already factored in. Are e.on playings games here??!
My dual fuel bills average £101 pm on e.on's energy online tariff. I was quoted £112 pm switching to their 2 year fixed tariff. He said he was in a similar position and planned to "ride it out" - good advice??
SimplySwitch shows EDF offering £103 pm fixed for 2 years - seems like a deal to me!?

People that work for an energy company are never informed of anything to do with price changes until the day that they are announced to the public. This needs to be done to prevent any insider trading on the stock market.
What that basically boils down to is that if anyone, from any energy company, who isn't at roughly Board of Directors level tells you that they will/wont increase/lower prices and it isn't in the news then they're either guessing or making it up.I am an employee of British Gas, however the views expressed on this post are mine and do not necessarily reflect the views of Centrica, its subsidiaries or affiliated companies.0 -
Yes they will, once one increases the rest always follow, and people drift from one company to the other on cheaper tariffs, until the next rise. But if wholesale gas/elec go down in price we never see the reduction, it is more profit for energy companies. Eon salesman is telling whoppers i wouldn't believe a word he tells me.
I reckon, in 10 years time only employed people will be able to afford to heat their homes.Owed out = lots. :cool:0 -

Please do not misrepresent facts. Pensions are adequate and child benefits are adequate. Incomes for households without children or without OAPs are not.0 -

I am unemployed, i use 1 radiator, only in winter, and it still cripples me when i get a bill for £80 per quarter, when they rise prices more i will have no alternative than to install a wood burner fire that heats my radiators as well.Owed out = lots. :cool:0 -

lol. If you cannot afford 80 now then no way are you going to be able afford installing a wood burning stove! Look at 1500 + for installation and buying.
Wood is also increasing in price as a fuel0 -
