Morrisons petrol offer

I have already tried this but found that the offer does not apply if you pay by credit card - it's in the small print

It dosen't matter how you pay.

Terms and Conditions are here - http://www.morrisons.co.uk/Offers/Fuel-Britannia/Fuel-Britannia-Ts-and-Cs/

    The terms say

"6.To claim your fuel discount, present your voucher and itemised goods receipt at the Petrol Filling Station kiosk when paying for fuel. Credit or debit card receipts will not be accepted."

When you pay by credit card you may get two receipts, one is itemised and one is for the credit or debit card transaction and is not itemised. When you go for your fuel you must present the itemised receipt and not just a credit/debit card receipt that is not itemised.

If the store is on the new Pegasus tills, then you will only get one receipt which includes your shopping and card payment details.

The reason why you need to show your receipt for proof is because the vouchers are not issued in any special kind of way. They are just a book of tear off vouchers at the checkout.

Not sure but I think the OP may mean when you pay for your fuel at an unmanned credit card pump.

In which case - the answer is No. You have to use a manned kiosk. Same with Tesco.

Ok, I can see this as being a query about either the current Fuel Brittania offer, the one where you get a voucher at the tills when spending over £40 to use when getting your petrol, or about the Morrisons Miles offer, whereby you use the miles card when paying for fuel and once you've reached enough points, you get a £5 voucher to use in-store on shopping.

The way these offers work are as follows:

    Fuel Brittania:

If you spend £40 or more in a single transaction, that is to say the receipt total is £40 or more, then you can claim the voucher. The cashier should ask you if you would like one, however, they are human and can sometimes forget! If they do, just ask and they should know about the deal. To use the voucher, you must present both the voucher and your itemised receipt at the petrol station, that is to say the receipt that details every item you bought. This is so that the petrol kiosk cashier can check that the voucher is valid. As such, I'm fairly certain that you will have to use a manned till to pay for your petrol, as there won't be any method of validating it at the pump. However, if you pay for your shopping at a self-service till, then you are still able to claim your voucher, just ask the operator who will have a pad of them somewhere, or who will direct you to Customer Services to get the voucher.

As for the Morrisons Miles deal, I'm not completely certain of how it works, but to my knowledge, you can use it at the pump, if you can, then it should ask you to swipe your card on the pump, otherwise you will have to use a manned kiosk to get the points.

However, both offers are useable if you paid by card, either credit or debit, the only issues I can forsee are when using the miles card at a pump, or if you take the incorrect receipt into the petrol kiosk with your petrol voucher. I hope this helps.

EDIT: Further to this, from the Morrisons T&Cs linked earlier by slyracoon, he hit the nail on the head, I can only presume that the point was misinterpreted, in light of a miscommunication by the cashier in question.

    mis-fuellings to my knowledge.
