Take it off and plant it. Keep it out of the sun for a while and water from below. It will root and you will have another plant.

Depends what you mean by branch, if it's a leaf "branch" then it will die I presume, never tried it, but I can't believe it will turn into a new plant.
If it's a sideshoot, or the top shoot, it has a good chance of rooting. Better if you stick it in some water for a few days.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
