Hey all,

I have recently set up the following:

1. Sony KDL-40EX503 - no on/off switch, just standby

2. Panasonic 880 5.1 system - switches off, but sunwoofer light remains on

3. Sky HD+ box - standby

4. Nintendo Wii in charging stand with 4 x wii remotes - standby

5. WDTV Live Hub - standby

6. Netgear 4 x port switch connecting TV, Sky box and WDTV hub

7. 2 x 1GB Solwise home plugs connecting all media equipment to my router.

When i go to bed, there are so many standby lights on and so i am worried about the electric consumption. Should i just hit the switch on the wall before i go to bed, or am i worrying for nothing?!
Ta!

Wouldn't worry too much about the TV my mother has 37 version and it is designed to be on standby about 1w.

Modern stuff is fairly low drain on standby.

Your netgear probably about 10w if left on

If you are really worried and if you can connect them to one supply why not insert a standby switching plug, that you can control remotely. That's what I do on ours.
