Blimey, that's a bit harsh - first time I've ever been there!
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

Just incase anyone wants any info on setting one up, heres how i did it!
Bought a garden plastic bin (60 or 80 litres), bought a plastic tap off an auction site, filled the bottom with stones and abit of play sand and put the tap nearest to the bottom as posible. Add some breathing holes around the top of the bin, you can cover these with a net curtian, but shouldnt need to if the worms are happy!
Them ontop of the stones i added a grate then ontop on the grate i added a few handfulls of shredded newspaper paper, then a couple of scoops of well rotted compost, then some more shredded paper and a old carpet ontop of that, water with a watering can until damp and leave for a couple of days.
Order your worms red worms, quarter of a kg is more than enough for that size bin!
Add them to the top of the compost layer and cover with the newspaper and carpet (making sure everything is still damp!). Leave the top of the bin off with a light on it for a day or so, just to force the worms to stay put for abit!
Dont feed them yet, leave them for a couple of days atleast, then when it does come to feeding time add the food sparingly to the compost layer, make sure its covered well or ul get a face of fruit flies everytime you lift the lid!
Then wait, check in every couple of days just to see how they are doing, you might find you have a small percent of wandering worms (if there all off you have done something wrong or fed them something they dont like!), just put them back into the main part of the bin.
Also it might be a good idea if your bins on concrete to put it on a wet carpet, if some do escape onto the concrete they can dry up very quickly!
When it comes to harvesting the castings (havent done this bit yet) you need move the food to one side and wait a couple of days then the worms should be situated in the food on one side of the bin and you can dig the unhabitated side out, sifting for worms!
Also the tap i mentioned earlier, eventually you will end up with leachate from this, you can water the garden with this to a ratio of 10 parts water and 1 part leachate.
If anyones got any advice on anything ive done or need to be doing please let me know!

Just been to check on my pets and there was a mass exodus going on

I have now taken all but a few scraps of paper/cardboard and veg peelings out, these had too many babies on to warrant removing, and sprinkled over a layer of compost. Not sure if this was the right thing to do but its done now, my soil is far to lumpy to put in.
Hopefully this should make them happy otherwise this was a very expensive DIY wormery when they all 'leggit'.:rotfl:0
