Fopp vouchers

Just found found some vouchers that I received a few years ago for Fopp (music store). As far as I know they went out of business in 2007 but were saved by HMV. I'm pretty sure I know the answer but I'll ask anyway...I noticed a store on Byres Rd (Glasgow), does anybody know if I'll be able to redeem these vouchers?

Could you not go in and ask someone in HMV? The worst they can say is no. :)

There's a fairly large Fopp store in Nottingham. I think I saw vouchers and gift cards on the till. If I did then it looks like they still do vouchers but don't take my word for it.

Have your vouchers got any expiry dates on them?
'til the end of the line
  • Thanks for the replies guys.

I live in Ayr (about an hour away from Glasgow), I'll take 'em with me next time I'm heading up there and ask the question.
As Outpost said - they can only say no!
BTW there's no expiry date, although I must be about 6 years since I got them.

If they say no they might be used at a fopp store so if you know anyone who lives near 1 you could send them to them to be used

... I think that's exactly what the OP is planning to do - go to Glasgow and use them in the Fopp on Byres Road. OP, I live round the corner from it, I could pop in on my way past tomorrow and ask what their stance is on old gift vouchers if you like?

OP, I went in this morning and asked the manager at the Byres Rd branch what the policy is on old vouchers. They no longer accept the old style paper vouchers from before the HMV buyout. However, they used to refund the value in the months after HMV took over. He wasn't sure if they would still honour that at this point, but he recommended contacting their head office just in case. Best of luck!
