Orange Homephone Service - not happy!

I currently have an Orangehome phone line & Broadband which for £21 per month is all inclusive calls & Unlimited BB and some international calls too.
However I am now out of contract with them and after completing a customer service survey the other day (after calling Orange customer services) I had a text message with says "As a treat for completing this survey you are now eligible for £100 off Orange Home Broadband! To redeem call 0800 0790035 - Orange"
So I though I wonder if I can get this, so I called up only to find that the offer is not an offer at all! It seems non-orange mobile customers are charged £31.50 for the same service I have and the £100 is the discount I would receive, when I asked about the 'voucher' I received the member of staff claimed not to know anything about it, then claimed it was for new customers only and preceeded to tell me how good Orange are and what excellent internet service & speed I would get with Orange over other providers, which to be honest I don't believe!
When explained I have another line with BT he started to get all defensive and stated that the Orange service was the cheapest available and the fastest for my line.
He also stated that if I wanted any faster then no one else other than BT offered Fibre Broadband (which is not true, although there ain't that many that do at the moment!) which would be very expensive!.
In the end I left it as I would have a think about things and a bit of a shop around, I could just put this line with BT but while I have the Orange broadband I have a fallback from my FTTH service should it fail.
What cheesed me off the most is the way they send you a personal voucher they will not honour!

These are my thoughts and no one else's, so like any public forum advice - check it out before entering into contracts or spending your hard earned cash!
I don't know everything, however I do try to point people in the right direction but at the end of the day you can only ever help yourself!

Maybe that is why Orange are consistently one of the worst rated ISP's? You get what you pay for.

I do agree, just annoyed at the misleading text I was sent.
Having said that I have spoken to loads of different departments about this today and each one has given a different explaination about the terms of the offer, just proves even Orange don't know what offers they send their own customers! These are my thoughts and no one else's, so like any public forum advice - check it out before entering into contracts or spending your hard earned cash!
