Freestanding cooker

I need to buy a cooker : probably gas. Problem is I don't know how to find the right size. The gap is 63.5 cms. So I was thinking that 60cm would be fine? I want to to fit the space as snuggly as possible but is there a minimum space I have to leave either side? Does there need to be a gap?

we got ours from john lewis, they delivered within 5 days

just check manufacturers instructions some do some dont

most freestanding cooker are slightly less than 600mm meaning they will fit into a 600mm gap, this is also the case with washing machines
