    hi,

Sorry its taken awhile to reply - busy busy busy at the moment.

I would love the chance to stay in a Youth Hostel but these circumstances didnt feel right; a month to go and already someone I have never met has stated in effect she doesnt want me around. I guess I was worried about noise levels about being on my own and maybe the others in the room would all know each other - I worried they may decide to go off to "their" room often and leave me at a loose end. It would be bad form on the part of my friend but I get the feeling that the other girl would be willing and able to make my friend feel bad and somehow get her own way.

I suspect that my friend and her friend had different ideas about what they wanted from this holiday, its a pity this other girl wasnt more honest about it though.

I still feel very sad about it but more because it may become a rift between me and my friend. I got an email from the company who were doing a show on the first night and they have cancelled the show - its the last night of the run so I wouldnt have been able to see it at all. I must admit I allowed myself a small smile about that.

    Jen
