Quick qestion on tenant screening

Options
Hello
I've found a property i want to rent but agent has informed me that i will be checked by Endsleigh tenant services etc.. So filled in the app today and sent it off. I'm not expecting any problems but if it comes back a no can i ask to speak to the LL direct and explain that my partner will be paying half the rent but isn't going on the TA?

I can afford the place on my own but i'm worried my credit file will show CC balances outstanding. i've paid £195 to the agent already (which i think is a complete rip off since Endsleigh advertise their checking service for £6.95!)

Anyway does anyone know for deffinate what sort of things they reject you for and how much detail do they see on the report?

Thanks.

They'll see your credit history, electoral roll, county court judgements, bankrupcy etc.

If your partner is going to be living there they should be on the tenancy agreement.

Actually they should only see public information, such as CCJs, electoral roll, etc.. Sight of credit information is supposed to be restricted to credit applications only.

Landlord is unlikely to be interested in partners income etc unless partner is willing to accept the same liability as you by being on the tenancy. Partners status is of no interest if he can't be sued!
Life should be a little nuts; otherwise it's just a bunch of Thursdays strung together.
