Does it do the same when using Wifi?

If not, then you may have reached a limit on your contract/payg allowance.

Not tried it on wifi yet but just checked my account online and i have just under a gb left on my internet allowance on my phone.

If you get an HTTP response, even if it's a 403, that means that the HTTP connection was established, which also means that the underlying SSL/TLS connection was established. If your client doesn't trust the server certificate, the SSL/TLS connection will close before any HTTP traffic happens.

Got this problem too. Happened recently on my Desire and there doesn't seem to be a solution. Is it Virgin/Tmobile causing us the grief or is that would be too simple, I notice I don't have the issue when I use another browser like Opera.
