Hubs and I went to our local 24hr tesco last night around 10pm (yes I know how to have a good time on a friday evening LOL). We managed to get everything we needed bar the fresh things and it was so quiet in there, im so pleased we went when we did. Also we managed to get some cranberrys reduced to 22p so i can make my icecubes today and also some lux fresh stuffing reduced to 79p too which i can freeze. There were a few other bargains available but nothing major.

I only need to collect my ham and turkey on Christmas eve and get veggies now, then Im all set :)

    Merry Christmas Everyone!

We went to Tesco too about the same time as Jenk and ours was quiet too, got 2 cooked chickens for 89p each all the stuff that won't go off before next week, sherry for the trifle etc.

We have meat and poultry ordered for next Saturday, we will be up very early to avoid the crush and we will pick up a fresh salmon and fruit and veg at the same time.

We are going to Aldi for the desserts for Christmas day tea later.

I am feeding 16 I think for lunch and 30 for tea.

  • Well, there was nothing on ours as we're going to friends on Christmas Day and visiting others in the village over the holiday.

But my partner has now invited his sister, husband, three sons & two dogs to join us for two days

So, a list is now needed and a trip to the butcher & farm shop!

Thankfully, I think I'm OK for tins/dry goods as I tend to stock up every three months or so.

Thought I'd got away with it this year ....
